Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 3 tbsp pumpkin puree
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 tsp ground ginger
  • 0.125 tsp ground cloves
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • whipped cream optional, for topping
  • extra cinnamon for garnish

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan

Method

  1. In a small bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves, whisking until smooth and well blended.
  2. Pour the milk into a medium saucepan and place over medium-low heat, warming gently without allowing it to boil.
  3. Add the pumpkin spice mixture to the warming milk, whisking constantly to ensure smooth integration and prevent lumps from forming.
  4. Continue heating while stirring frequently for about 5-7 minutes until the mixture is steaming hot and all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract for added depth of flavor.
  6. Pour the hot pumpkin spice milk into your favorite mug, top with whipped cream if desired, and sprinkle with additional cinnamon.
