- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Trim Brussels sprouts and remove yellowed outer leaves, then cut each sprout in half lengthwise.
- Place chopped bacon pieces on prepared baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until partially crispy.
- Add halved Brussels sprouts to the sheet with bacon, drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
- Toss thoroughly and arrange Brussels sprouts cut-side down for maximum caramelization.
- Roast for 20-25 minutes until Brussels sprouts are golden brown and tender with crispy edges.
- Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with dried cranberries and chopped pecans.
- Drizzle with balsamic vinegar if desired and serve immediately while hot.
Notes
For best results, don't overcrowd the baking sheet. Use two sheets if necessary. Brussels sprouts should be cut-side down for optimal caramelization.
