Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 3-4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter optional
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp dried thyme
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Season the chicken breasts with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place the chicken breasts into the slow cooker and drizzle with olive oil. Add minced garlic.
  3. Pour chicken broth around the chicken and place butter on top.
  4. Cook on LOW for 3-4 hours or HIGH for 1.5-2.5 hours.
  5. Check that chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Serve with cooking juices spooned over the top and garnish with parsley.

Notes

For shredding, cook until extremely tender and use two forks.
