Ultra-tender pork ribs slow cooked in Dr Pepper and barbecue sauce for a sweet, sticky, fall-off-the-bone finish.

Ingredients
  

Ribs
  • 3 lbs pork ribs baby back or spare ribs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1.5 cups Dr Pepper
  • 1.5 cups barbecue sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic minced

Equipment

  • Slow cooker

Method
 

  1. Season ribs with spice mixture.
  2. Place ribs in slow cooker.
  3. Mix Dr Pepper, barbecue sauce, sugar, Worcestershire, and garlic.
  4. Pour sauce over ribs.
  5. Cook on LOW 7–8 hours or HIGH 4–5 hours.
  6. Optional: Broil briefly with extra sauce before serving.

Notes

For extra caramelization, finish ribs under the broiler.
