Ingredients
  

Brownie Batter
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.33 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 cup chopped chocolate or chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a small baking pan with parchment.
  2. Stir melted butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Whisk in egg and vanilla until glossy.
  4. Fold in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Mix in chopped chocolate.
  6. Bake 18–22 minutes until edges are set and center is soft.
  7. Cool completely before slicing.

Notes

For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake and cool completely before slicing.
