Ingredients
  

  • 1 baguette sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 tbsp sour cream or crème fraîche
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • black pepper to taste
  • 8 oz smoked salmon thinly sliced
  • 1-2 tbsp capers drained
  • fresh dill for garnish

Method
 

  1. Brush baguette slices with olive oil and toast until golden.
  2. Mix cream cheese, sour cream, lemon zest, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Spread cream cheese mixture onto cooled crostini.
  4. Top with folded smoked salmon slices.
  5. Garnish with capers and fresh dill.
  6. Serve immediately for best texture.

Notes

Assemble just before serving to keep crostini crisp.
