Ingredients
  

Smoothie
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 3 medjool dates pitted
  • 1 tbsp tahini
  • 1 cup almond milk unsweetened
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp maple syrup optional
  • 0.5 cup ice
  • 1 pinch sea salt optional

Method
 

  1. If dates are firm, soak them in warm water for 5 minutes to soften.
  2. Add frozen banana, dates, tahini, almond milk, cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup, ice, and salt to a blender.
  3. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy.
  4. Adjust consistency by adding more milk if needed.
  5. Taste and add more sweetness if desired.
  6. Pour into glasses and garnish with cinnamon or chopped dates.

Notes

Use frozen banana for the creamiest texture. Medjool dates blend best because they are soft and naturally sweet.
