Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp ground cumin
  • 0.25 tsp chili flakes optional
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire-style seasoning
  • 2 lb potatoes peeled and cubed
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Boil potatoes until tender, then mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper.
  2. Sauté onion and garlic until softened.
  3. Brown ground beef and drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in tomato paste, spices, broth, and seasoning; simmer until thick.
  5. Spread beef mixture into baking dish and top with mashed potatoes.
  6. Bake until bubbling and golden on top.

Notes

Adjust spice level to taste by increasing or reducing chili flakes.
