- In a bowl, combine drained tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, celery, and red onion.
- Season the mixture with salt and black pepper and mix until creamy.
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place two slices of bread butter-side down and spread tuna mixture evenly on top.
- Add shredded cheddar cheese and jalapeño slices over the tuna.
- Top with remaining bread slices butter-side up.
- Cook sandwiches in a skillet over medium heat for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cheese melts.
- Slice and serve hot.
Notes
For extra spice, add pickled jalapeños or hot sauce to the tuna mixture.
