Sticky Gochujang Tofu

Ingredients
  

  • 14 oz firm tofu
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp neutral oil
  • 2 tbsp gochujang paste
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Mixing bowls
  • Spatula

Method
 

  1. Press tofu and cut into cubes.
  2. Coat tofu cubes with cornstarch.
  3. Pan-fry tofu in oil until golden and crispy.
  4. Whisk together gochujang, soy sauce, maple syrup, vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.
  5. Add sauce to skillet and toss tofu to coat.
  6. Simmer until sauce thickens and becomes sticky.
