  • 3 sweet onions thickly sliced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter cut into pieces
  • 1.5 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1.5 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven and grease baking dish.
  2. Arrange onion slices evenly in dish.
  3. Season onions and add butter.
  4. Top with shredded cheeses.
  5. Bake covered, then uncovered until bubbly.
  6. Rest briefly, garnish, and serve.
