Ingredients
  

Chili Base
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb ground turkey lean
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 bell pepper diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 0.5 tsp oregano
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 1 can kidney beans drained
  • 1 can black beans drained
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Equipment

  • Large pot or Dutch oven

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Cook ground turkey until browned, breaking it apart.
  3. Add onion and bell pepper and cook until softened.
  4. Stir in garlic and spices and cook until fragrant.
  5. Add beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and broth.
  6. Simmer chili for 25–30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Adjust seasoning and serve with toppings.

Notes

Chili tastes even better the next day and freezes well for up to 3 months.
