Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup brewed espresso cooled
  • 3 tbsp coffee liqueur
  • 10 ladyfinger cookies
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp chocolate shavings optional

Method
 

  1. Beat heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  2. Mix mascarpone, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Fold whipped cream into mascarpone mixture.
  4. Combine espresso and coffee liqueur in a bowl.
  5. Dip broken ladyfingers quickly into espresso mixture.
  6. Layer soaked cookies and mascarpone cream into shot glasses.
  7. Repeat layers and finish with mascarpone cream.
  8. Dust with cocoa powder and garnish with chocolate shavings.
  9. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

For an alcohol-free version, omit coffee liqueur and use additional espresso.
