Traditional Greek Maroulosalata

Ingredients
  

  • 2 heads romaine lettuce finely shredded
  • 0.25 cup fresh dill finely chopped
  • 3 green onions thinly sliced
  • 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 0.5 tsp sea salt or to taste
  • black pepper optional
  • 0.5 cup feta cheese crumbled, optional

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Wash, dry, and finely shred the romaine lettuce.
  2. Place lettuce in a large bowl and add dill and green onions.
  3. Sprinkle with sea salt and drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice.
  4. Gently massage the salad with clean hands until slightly softened and glossy.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  6. Top with feta if using and serve immediately.
