Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream softened butter with granulated and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips evenly.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes to prevent spreading.
- Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets and bake 12–15 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool on baking sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
