Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips semi-sweet

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream softened butter with granulated and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips evenly.
  7. Chill dough for 30 minutes to prevent spreading.
  8. Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets and bake 12–15 minutes until edges are golden.
  9. Cool on baking sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.

Notes

Do not overbake for best thick and chewy texture.
