White Sauce Penne Pasta

Ingredients
  

  • 250 g penne pasta
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk warm
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Cook penne pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and reserve some pasta water.
  2. Melt butter in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté briefly.
  3. Add flour and whisk continuously for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Slowly pour in warm milk while whisking to form a smooth sauce.
  5. Cook until sauce thickens, then season with salt and pepper.
  6. Stir in parmesan cheese until melted.
  7. Add cooked pasta and toss to coat. Adjust consistency with pasta water if needed.

Notes

Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
