Ingredients
  

Pizza Base
  • 1 pizza dough
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
Toppings
  • 1.5 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 lemon zest and thin slices
  • 0.25 cup ricotta cheese optional
  • salt and pepper
  • fresh basil for garnish

Equipment

  • Pizza stone or baking sheet
  • Rolling pin
  • Zester
  • Knife or mandoline

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside.
  2. Stretch pizza dough on parchment paper and brush with olive oil.
  3. Sprinkle garlic, salt, and pepper over the dough.
  4. Add mozzarella, ricotta (if using), lemon zest, and thin lemon slices.
  5. Bake 10–13 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is melted.
  6. Top with fresh basil and optional red pepper flakes or honey drizzle. Slice and serve.

Notes

Slice lemons very thin to avoid bitterness. Fresh mozzarella works best for melting.
